Kwanten Ryan (born 28 November 1976) is an Australian actress.

Nurturing an impressive body of work that includes film and television, Ryan Kwanten has positioned itself as one of the most promising talents in Hollywood as his career continues to evolve with exciting and challenging projects.

This fall, Ryan can be star-studded winner, along with an Academy Award Anna Paquin in the highly anticipated new HBO series "True Blood" creator Alan Ball (Six Feet Under). Based on the book series "Southern Vampire" by Charlaine Harris, the show follows the world of the Vampire, which is able to coexist with humans by drinking a Japanese-made synthetic blood. Ryan's additional television credits include the role of Jay Robertson recognized Warner Bros. series "Summerland", which lasted two seasons. It was also the lead in the ESPN original movie "Children Crossing."

Segueing trouble between big and small screen, Ryan recently finished working on feature Luke Kasdan "Not Fade Away" against Mischa Barton. His second film credits include "FLICKA", a film of the twentieth Century Fox, where she starred opposite Tim McGraw, Maria Bello and Alison Lohmann, in the title role in "American Brown," which received the Audience Award for Best Criterion films Montreal Film Festival , "Floating Bridge", nominated for best film at the film festival in Australia and the recently published "Dead Silence", directed by James Wan (writer / director of Saw).

Originally from Australia, Ryan began his career while participating in the University of Sydney, where he earned a degree in business. He has participated in numerous films and television programs and won international fame when he joined the cast of the long series of popular Australia and beyond. "A published writer, Ryan is working on a new book.

A consummate athlete, Ryan qualified for the world of biathlon in Sweden in 2006 and Italy in 2007 after winning the series two years Biathlon. Is a qualified yoga instructor and uses her free time cycling, sailing and has a passion to complete the Triathlon.
